David Axell trains clients with high stress careers in functional fitness.
Meet David: Holistic Health Practitioner
Integrating Health Into Your Life:
For David, health isn't a seasonal trend—it's a lifelong commitment. He doesn't chase fleeting results but fosters consistent, meaningful progress that seamlessly integrates into daily life.
Strength, Flexibility & Mental Well Being:
David's training approach is pragmatic: it's a blend of strength, flexibility, and mental well-being. Some clients lean into functional physical strength training while others prioritize pliability. Others, still, wish to mix in spiritual balance and clarity by incorporating meditation, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, and breath work.
What Sets David Apart:
David is a great trainer. But there are lots of great trainers. What sets him apart is his adaptability – an eagerness to help and support without ego. David listens—really listens—to understand where his clients are and where they want to go. The result? Long-standing relationships, with many clients training with him for over a decade. David derives great pride from long-standing clients – many of whom have changed what they train, how they train or even why they train, without changing the person with whom they train (David).
Where appropriate, David likes to incorporate martial arts – both as a physical modality and also as a mechanism to learn patience, consistency, respect and build community. David has a home "dojo" (a gym designed for martial arts). He trains Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (3-4 times per week) and is taking more clients who wish to learn more about this art form (either exclusively or as part of a larger program). To David, many of the core tenants of BJJ mirror his own beliefs and approach to health. BJJ is an art that harmonizes strength, flexibility, technique, and strategy. It demands patience, respect, consistency, and suspension of ego to learn, evolve and grow.
No matter how you wish to improve your health, David wishes to work with people who align with his approach as described above. WHAT comprises each training session is far less important than the tonality, the transparency and the teamwork David feels are essential for transformation of self.
